House of Worship Safety Training

 The House of Worship Safety Training course is tailored specifically to houses of worship and similar venues. The course will include topics such as the recognition of mental illness and IDD-related symptoms, de-escalation techniques and tactics, warning signs of potential targeted violence, and physical safety concerns. This training is meant to educate how safety/security teams, religious leaders, childcare staff, or other interested parties can identify possible threats and mitigate them. This is a two-part course with the first part focusing on house or worship safety principles and the second half of instruction focused on Civilian Response to Active Shooter Events (CRASE). This course will be taught through lectures and group discussion.
